Listed Building Renovation

Waveney Build Ltd undertook an extensive rebuild of the entire front and side elevations of this timber-framed home. The house had been erroneously cement rendered around 50 years previously. The render was cracking in places and no longer adhered to the frame underneath. This inappropriate render material had caused the frame to rot to the extent that we had to build an entirely new frame within and in front of the existing timbers. While the work required was extensive, we managed to repair the building while the occupants remained resident in the house. We also retained the existing, internal oak posts, studs and beams to retain the character of the house and to minimise the all-important, overall costs.
